Whole Body Cryotherapy – Frost Treatment
Treatment with frost i.e. cryotherapy is a relatively new method in which the patient's body is exposed to extremely low temperatures. The whole body cryotherapy involves a short-term stay (up to 3 minutes) in the so-called cryo chamber, with optimal healing-rehabilitation temperatures up to -110°C. After leaving the cryo chamber, the second, approximately fifteen-minute stimulation phase is based on light aerobic exercise. The Beneficial effect of frost on the human organism stems from the fact that only preprocessed dry air, completely free of moisture, can be found in the cryo chamber. Thus, the internal body temperature is not reduced at all, but only its surface is cooled, resulting in enormous peripheral congestion and pain relief, acceleration of the metabolism and healing processes.
The effect of frost is also a radical increase in hormone levels to suppress inflammatory reactions, stiff muscles are released and even long-term pain disappears for many hours, including back pain and pain in the musculoskeletal system.
